Sports-wise Vacancy Details (Male & Female)

A total of 549 vacancies are distributed across multiple sports disciplines. Out of these, 277 posts are for male candidates and 272 for female candidates. Major sports include Athletics, Boxing, Wrestling, Swimming, Volleyball, Judo, Karate, Football, Hockey, Weightlifting, Yoga, and many more.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • The Matriculation certificate will be considered final proof of age.

Sports Qualification

Candidates must have participated or won medals between 15 January 2024 and 15 January 2026 in:

  • International tournaments recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
  • National Games, Senior/Junior National Championships, or National Open Championships
  • Team or Individual events (must be a main playing member, not a reserve)

Minimum qualifying sports marks: 12 marks (for all categories).

Preference Order

  1. International medalists/participants
  2. National-level medalists (up to 3rd position)

Salary and Benefits

  • Basic Pay: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 (Level-3, 7th Pay Commission)
  • Dearness Allowance and other central government benefits

Selection Process
